'Toddlers & Tiaras' Premiere: Mom Gives Daughter Straight Sugar To Perk Her Up (VIDEO)

'Toddlers & Tiaras': Daughter Gets Sugar For Straight Energy

It wouldn't be "Toddlers & Tiaras" (Wed., 10 p.m. ET on TLC) if there wasn't the potential for controversy. This week's shocking moment came after five-year old contestant Isabella told her mother Susanna she was "feeling tired."

As a solution, Susanna ripped open a couple of packets of sugar and poured them down Isabella's throat. "Straight sugar just gives you instant energy," she explained. "So, straight sugar to get straight energy!”

Isabella is new to the show this season, and already she and her mother have made quite the impression. Susanna has spent over $40,000 to get her daughter into the pageant circuit in less than a year.

Paisley, who made headlines last season by dressing up as the prostitute version of Julia Roberts from "Pretty Woman," did a tribute to Lady Gaga that was just about as edgy as her take on the Roberts classic.

Follow all the wackiness as "Toddlers & Tiaras" continues Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
