Trayvon Martin Case: Armed Neo-Nazis Patrolling Sanford (UPDATE)

UPDATE: 11:15 p.m. According to the Miami New Times, the Sanford Police Department issued a statement, saying that there is no evidence of neo-Nazis in the area.

Since the Trayvon Martin story has received national attention, Sanford, Fla. has gone from a virtually unknown city to the center of the spotlight. Now, a group of neo-Nazis are patrolling the area, saying they are "prepared" for violence in case a race riot ensues, the Miami New Times reports.

The Detroit-based group said they are not advocating violence, but instead are responding to white residents' fear of a race riot.

"Whenever there is one of these racially charged events, Al Sharpton goes wherever blacks need him," Commander Jeff Schoep of the National Socialist Movement told the news outlet. "We do similar things. We are a white civil rights organization."

Schoep said that measures by groups like the New Black Panther Party, who offered a $10,000 bounty for the "capture" of George Zimmerman, are a sign of the "possibility of further racial violence."

"We don't wish for things like that," he said. "But there have been race riots in Detroit and L.A., so we know those types of things happen."

Schoep said the group's purpose is to show solidarity with the local white community, not to take sides in the case.

"That's for the courts to decide."

I've been trying to find my comment that seemed to have offended some. My original comment was that Zimmerman is not white but Spanish.. I was trying and obviously failed to be politically correct. My point is that he IS NOT white. Maybe biracial, but not white. So making this a black and white issue is wrong. Walking around wearing clothing that says cracker with a picture of Zimmerman is not only ignorant but wrong. This murder may or may not have been racially motivated, but white people have NOTHING to do with it because the two people involved were not white.

This is a criminal offense in Germany should they not have a legitimate permit to "patrol" the streets. Soon they can't do that with a permit either any longer. Neo-Nazis are about the lowest of humanity that exists in Germany , because Germans did work through their dark history !

Exactly. Here is what the Sanford Police are really saying and what they mean, "there is no evidence (because we didn't look for any and because we wouldn't know evidence if it smacked us in the face.)"

Officer Barbrady would fit in well with the Sanford PD. I'm surprised they haven't recruited him.

I imagine that it will be found out what exactly Trayvon Martin was up to when zim caught eye of him lurking about the shadows that rainy night. Sure Martin gave him the slip . perhaps to hide his ever present burglary tools and womans jewelry. We wil never know for sure. But we do know for sure after giving the watch man the slip Martin returned to confront him. Perhaps martin was new to the community and it disturbed him he could not continue his business as usual and figured that he needed to have watch men fear him ,And that He would open the community to a new crime gang. I have to ask if they stil have the pictures of the jewerly they found on Trayvon in his mothers town. Sure it wasn't on that list.. but will they run it on sanfords list? We need to get to the bottom of this , cause the more intelligent of us are not buying the skittles run. So if any one can answer these questions with out getting al in my grill about race.. please do . I presented them as questions and theories. I know the other theory where T.M. went to buy skittles and a crazed Zimmerman had a thing against hoodies. So lets be realistic .

Ok, being realistic. You're saying TM, while on the phone with his girlfriend, doubled back and attacked GZ. Not ending his call with a "goodbye" but attacking while the call was still current. This fact that he was on the phone was confirmed by both his girlfriend and the phone records.

I hardly call a screwdriver a burglary tool. And the jewelry wasn't stolen property. But then again these things were not found on Trayvon that night. One would also have to be gullible to believe GZ about Trayvon giving him the slip. The only business Trayvon was not allowed to continue, was to get back to the house with the items he PURCHASED from the store. If GZ had not followed Trayvon...Trayvon would be alive today. Looking at this case and GZ being... maybe the only witness.... GZ dropping the SYG defense. One can only say that forensics is saying GZ is lying about what happened that night. Forensics can tell a powerful story...just asked Jodi Aris.

The real question is: Who is going to fire all the editors of liberal news media who, because of their overwhelming prejudices and/or the agenda they have been selling from day 1 of this tragedy, picked up this story and ran with it without bothering to send a simple email to the Sanford PD or, gasp, calling them. Don't they teach things like this in Journalism School or did all the liberals opt out of those basic classes along with the ethics classes?

Sorry I see no racism in this case. A suspicious looking person lurking in the shadow on a rainy night will catch the eye of a concerned citizen in a crime ridden town. Thats what happened.
