'Mad Men': Don's Past Comes Back To Terrify Him

Things took a dark tone in the latest installment of "Mad Men" (Sun., 10 p.m. ET on AMC). After an awkward random meeting in the elevator with a former fling, Don found himself struggling to put his own past infidelity behind him. While the new Don seems committed to his marriage with Megan, his past looks to be something that may yet haunt them for some time.

Don's haunting took a vivid turn when he had a fever dream involving the woman from the elevator coming to his home and refusing to leave until he slept with her. Then, in a fit of guilt and rage, he strangled her to death. It was filmed in such a way that it wasn't clear it was a dream until the aftermath.

Meanwhile, Joan's relationship with her husband Greg also took center stage. When he came home from war, she imagines the fantasy life that she's been told she should want, but it's all torn asunder when he reveals that he actually volunteered to go back. He'd rather be gone than with her, and so she told him not to come back, and that their relationship was over.

Look for Maureen Ryan's full recap of "Mystery Date" later today. And tune in Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on AMC as the fifth season of "Mad Men" continues.
