'Dancing With The Stars' Elimination: Sherri Shepherd Eliminated

Shocking 'Dancing With The Stars' Elimination!

Last night's "Dancing With the Stars" was a bit of a mess. Cheryl Burke mysteriously lost her shoe, Melissa Gilbert was rushed to the hospital with a concussion and Gladys Knight may have told the world that it was time to unleash her "slutty" side. Sadly, for one of the messes, it was time to say goodbye to the ballroom.

Shockingly, "The View" co-host Sherri Shepherd was eliminated from the competition. She was clearly distraught upon hearing the news, as she broke into a fit of tears after hearing Tom Bergeron read off her name.

Joining Shepherd in the bottom two was last night's second highest scorer Roshon Fegan, who Carrie Ann called "the best male dancer in the competition.

Meanwhile, the mystery of what actually happened to Melissa Gilbert was revealed. The actress accidentally bumped her head on partner's Maksim Chmerkovskiy leg, which then caused the professional dancer to fall on the dance floor. Singer Gavin DeGraw then carried Gilbert down the stairs to the medical team -- making women across America swoon -- before she was taken to the hospital.

Thankfully for the "Little House on the Prairie" star, she was saved by the fans' votes. Unfortunately, Gilbert was not there to hear the good news because she was on medical rest. Her Prince Charming, Gavin DeGraw, was also saved by the viewers at home, marking the first time since the season started, DeGraw and his partner Karina Smirnoff were not in the bottom three.

Despite a stress fracture in her foot, Maria Menounos and her partner Derek Hough were also safe this week, along with former "Family Matters" star Jaleel White. Surprisingly, the Empress of Soul Gladys Knight was also saved, even though she earned the lowest scores of the night with her disjointed tango.

Last night's top scorer Donald Driver also lived to dance another week, as did opera singer Katherine Jenkins, who fell from her top spot on the leaderboard after a very angry pasodoble. Last but not least, Latin heartthrob William Levy narrowly made it after a weak, ill-timed heavy metal jive.

Be prepared, "Dancing With the Stars" fans: Shepherd's early elimination proves that anything can happen next week.

"Dancing With the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
