After killing it three weeks straight on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," this season's frontrunner William Levy finally had an off night last night when he and his partner Cheryl Burke were tasked with performing the jive to Twister Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It."
Although the strapping Cuban heartthrob brought the same high energy and charisma to the performance that earned him rave reviews in past weeks, the show's judges agreed that Levy and Burke had a hard time nailing the choreography this week.
"It is what it is. You went long," judge Len Goodman told Levy following his performance. "You lost timing during the end part. It's one of those things," he added.
Goodman told Levy this isn't the first time he has "gone long" and said if he continues that pattern, it could cost him the competition.
"There's a pattern here," Goodman said. "Last week you went long. This week you went long...You've got to nail the routines or else anything can happen."
Judge Bruno Tonioli agreed: "Your performance always rocks the house, but you did go off and you went wrong," he said. And judge Carrie Ann Inaba echoed her fellow judges' sentiments, saying: "You have something very special but Len is right, you have to nail those routines," said Inaba. "You have to watch the routine and stay focused. Don't get caught up in this. Stay focused on your partner."
The bad reviews earned Levy and Burke a score of 22 out of 30 (which was not only the lowest score of the night, but also their lowest score in the competition thus far). Still, despite the inconsistent performance and Levy's low scores, there was one thing that was memorable about the Cuban telenovela hunk's performance: 12 seconds into their routine, Levy--who showed off his abs on last week's show--shook his tail feather (Jennifer Lopez-style) for the cameras. Muy caliente!
