Nude Maid Service

A nude maid service promises to provide clients with a show and a spotless house, but local authorities are keeping an eye on the small business that's caused quite a stir in a conservative Texas town.

Melissa Borrett, 26, began Fantasy Maid Service of Lubbock as a way to make extra money. She charges customers $100 per hour to clean their homes, and at their request, she can do the dusting in lingerie or in the buff, ABC's "Good Morning America" reports.

The young entrepreneur started the service in February. Now, just a few months later, she has three other women working for her.

But while business is booming, Borrett's controversial start-up has caught the attention of the Lubbock Police Department.

Noting that the "sexually oriented business" doesn't have a permit to operate, police Sgt. Jonathan Stewart said Borrett could face at a fine of $2,000, and additional charges for every day she continues to work without a permit, KCBD reports.

"Just the fact employees are topless or semi nude in this case -- it's just not allowed," Stewart told KCBD.

Company policy prohibits employees and customers from engaging in any physical or sexual contact.

"If a maid accepts tips for physical contact, she will be terminated immediately and the customer will not be able to schedule service with Lubbock Fantasy Maid Service again," according to the company's website.

Additionally, the company will not work topless or nude in the presence of persons under 18.

According to the Associated Press, the permit Borrett needs to obtain costs $650 per year and requires an additional $5,000 surety bond or letter of credit.

Responding to the threats from police, Borrett has said she will take legal action if the city attempts to shut down the business.

For more on the story, watch the video report by KCBD above.

Frankly I don't see any problem with nude female maids if they feel comfortable and protection against manic. If they want a job like this is their business, just as long as the government's hand off from their business unless the problem(s) show up, then make the law to protect but can not forbid them! I agree with someone in comment, " Nudity is not a sex!". Let them having a job! We all know the different between women and men. The different between them about sex is 5% of human being and why those anti-nude or anti-sex people so freak out?? Sheesh!! In my philosophy, A nude woman is an art so leave her alone!

Here the nannystate is protecting us from naked cleaning women. Don't they have anything better to do?

I wish we can include this kind of service at CleanCompanyLondon.co.uk :), but most of our staff are males :), so I don't know if ladies would feel comfortable.

Ladies what do you think, would you like a nude man to clean you house?

I think the government change their mind because we live in a new generation and there is no regulation on adult for that type of work.

The IRS and police are trembling. This enterprising cleaning lady has a good idea but may be corrupting and offending our morals. One may turn on the TV any time and find ideas and language to titilate, awe, imitate and depress. This article is depressing. The authorities should be concerned with crime not domestics, clothed or unclothed.

Why does the government think they have the right to control what adults do behind closed doors? Doesn't the Constitution grant us the right to the pursuit of Happiness?

I think we are ruled by the moral minority. I could care less what
People do. As long as they don't infring on other peoples right to do what they want.

Another example of government regulations preventing a new business from success. Who should care what goes on in someones house as long as it does not affect anyone else.

I like your thinking, cbrepo, or lack of it, hehe. Five year olds look further ahead than what your post has demonstrated. Should I tell you why or let you try to figure it out. ;D

So your okay if a brothel opens up on your street, or a strip joint on main street. How about an adult sex toy store next to the local high school. would limiting that be an infringement on small business and free enterprise? There is such a thing as the "public good".

If you were able to read I think I said what goes on in your own house. And who are you to determine what the "public good" is?

Brothels should be legalized. Working girls are forced to suffer pimps, murderers, drugs, etc. working the sorry streets. Doubtful that such establishments would be in your neighborhood. Most european countries have legalized prostitution. They have their own little shops. It's very safe, sane and civilized. Y'all should visit Belgium, Holland, etc. before opening your traps.

None of the ladies I saw in the video would do much to ratchet up my prurient interest,so they'd better do one heck of a job of cleaning for $100/hr. Good on them for trying to find a creative way to make a buck.
