Scarlett Johansson Sings 'Summertime' With Massive Attack's 3D For 'Days Of Grace' Soundtrack (AUDIO)

ScarJo Sings 'Summertime,' Gets Attention

Everardo Gout's soccer-segmented crime drama "Days Of Grace" isn't even out in the U.S. yet, but that hasn't stopped the internet from catching on fast to the Mexican thriller's intriguing soundtrack. Is that the name "Scarlett Johansson" we hear? Why yes! Yes, it most certainly is, for some reason. We are intrigued!

The movie's 3 intertwining stories about cops and criminals set to the backdrop of the 2002, 2006 and 2010 World Cups are scored separately by 3 pairings -- Nick Cave with Warren Ellis, composers in their own right who've collaborated in the past on a number of films, Atticus Ross, who won an Oscar for "The Social Network," with film composer Shigeru Umebayashi ("House Of Flying Daggers"), and British triphopper 3D from Massive Attack with actress and occasional singer Scarlett Johansson. As you may have noticed, one of those things is not like the other. No, it's not Johansson for being an actress. It's the rest of them for not having a "Status As Sex Symbol" section of their Wikipedia page!

We've posted the fruits of Johansack's labors below, a dark, reverby take on George Gershwin's "Summertime" that sounds more -ack than Johans- inflected, but is doing internet rounds all the same. Indiewire let us know this isn't Johansson's first stab at the classic. We've posted audio of her singing "Summertime" back in the day with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for the 2006 benefit album Unexpected Dreams. As you might expect, the adjective "throaty" comes to mind.
