'Breaking In' Pulled From Fox Schedule, Comedy's Future In Question

'Breaking In' Benched By Fox ... Again

"Breaking In," the little Fox show that could, has been benched by the network. Again.

According to EW, "New Girl" reruns will occupy the Tuesdays, 9:30 p.m. ET timeslot "Breaking In" was scheduled to take on April 24. The final three episodes of "Breaking In" will air at a later date. "Breaking In" joins "I Hate My Teenage Daughters" in "pretty much canceled, but not officially" limbo. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed "Breaking In's" removal from the schedule.

"Breaking In" was canceled by Fox at the end of last season, but the Christian Slater series got a surprise renewal for midseason after the plug was originally pulled. "Will & Grace" star Megan Mullally joined the cast, but her added comedy might wasn't enough to save the troubled series. The most recent episode had 2.6 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic, compared to "New Girl's" 4.6 million viewers and 2.3 rating.
