Jaleel White On Domestic Abuse Claims: 'All I Can Do Is Wish The Mother Of My Child Peace In Her Life' (VIDEO)

Jaleel White Denies Abuse Claims, Wishes Baby Mama Well

Jaleel White's "Dancing With the Stars" experience has been mostly positive, but the increased spotlight has not come without controversy and adversity. Several weeks ago, the mother of White's two-year-old child, Bridget Hardy, publicly accused White of punching and slapping her. No charges were filed against White about the alleged incident, but it's raised some non-dancing related questions for him to answer. Thursday on "Good Day LA," (weekdays, 7 a.m. PT) he did just that.

"All I can do is wish the mother of my child peace in her life, to be quite honest. I don't think that it's a big surprise that I start 'Dancing With the Stars,' I've been co-parenting in peace for the last two years, and all of the sudden stories are sold to Star Magazine. So I gotta let the courts do what they do right there ... I'm not reducing custody of my child as it's been asked of me ... I just hope people can just read between the lines and understand that when the spotlight's on you, things happen, and hopefully my track record speaks for itself though," he said.

Last week in an interview with HuffPost TV, White talked about how much his daughter means to him.

I've never been in trouble with the law, and I'm a diligent father. That's probably the toughest thing that I'm dealing with right now, just the time that I'm spending with my daughter. She came down to the rehearsal hall to play with Kym, and Kym taught her the quickstep. [Laughs.] At two-and-a-half years old, she's already better than me!
