David Krejci Hit With Glass Pane After Bruins' Game 1 Win Over Capitals (VIDEO)

Boston Celebration Send Glass Crashing Down On Bruins Player

A thrilling overtime win for the Bruins in Game 1 against the Capitals was capped by what turned out to be a bizarre mishap during the celebration.

As the Bruins players huddled up after Chris Kelly's sudden-death goal, the Boston fans were a little too excited and actually knocked loose one of the panes of glass encircling the ice. Unfortunately for Bruins center David Krejci, the glass fell directly on top of him and slammed him to the ice.

Krejci slowly got back to his feet, but he didn't participate in practice on Friday morning.

"I got a little sore neck," the Czech told reporters. "Other than that I'm good and I'll play tomorrow."

Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli described Krejci's status as day-to-day.

Game 2 will take place on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.
