Joe Biden Tax Returns 2011

WASHINGTON -- For Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, this year's tax return looks almost identical to last year's.

Returns for 2011 released by the White House show the Bidens paid $87,900 in federal taxes on adjusted gross income of $379,035. Their income was $143 below their 2010 return, but their tax bill was $1,274 higher. In both cases, the effective tax rate was just over 23 percent.

On the latest return, the Bidens listed $5,540 in donations to charity.

Most of the couple's income came from the vice president's salary of $225,521 and Mrs. Biden's wages of just over $82,000 for teaching at Northern Virginia Community College.

At least they are both members of Credit Unions. How many of you out there are?

Well he certainly didn't get rich in Washington: no dividends, no muni bond interest, only a small amount of taxable interest. Must be the last honest person left inside the Beltway.

Ol generous Joe...ponied up 5k for charity.
|Collected over 28k from social security and over 20k from the rent of a cottage to the secret service to protect him from the barbarians.
Lame is Joe's status in the world of giving.

I admire the Bidens for their grip on reality.

Also like Warren Buffett just as well for living in the same modest house he bought in the 60's or something like that.

Yeah--you should see the old clunker he drives. The cool thing is that on halloween he gives out big candy bars. The kids line up around the block to knock on his door.

Don't forget to mention the $25 million home Warren Buffet has in Palm Springs, Florida where he spends most of his time. I wonder why the media keeps leaving that one out.

Wow. The Obama's gave roughly 22% of their income to charity, and the Biden's gave 1.5% to charity? In case you missed it, there is a decimal point between the 1 and the 5. Applause to the Obamas for setting an admirable mark. ??? to the other folks.

5,500 to charity with an income of 380,000/family is OK in my book.
How much you're making? How much you gave?

I gave more to charity than 1.5% of my adjusted gross income. As Biden sets an example for America, I will reduce my charitable contributions going forward. If he can do it, I can do it.

The Bidens together made way less than Mittens, and paid 9 percent more. Sounds about how the uber rich want it.

Lame is your hocus pocus math.

Look up and focus. The issue us what percent of how much you make did you give to charity. Biden gave a stunningly low percentage. Anyone can give a high PERCENTAGE of what they make (not an AMOUNT). Biden shows he is a piece of garbage when he hoards everything he makes for himself.
