I was a strong Obama, anti-Hillary person in 2008. I'm still confident I made the right decision and will enthusiastically support Obama in 2012. However, I heard Hillary speak recently, and I was greatly impressed. I urge her to run in 2016. I will vote for her.

The republicans greatest fear right now is that they will fail against Obama for a second term. Obama's 2nd term will be so successful that a continuation of Dem policies domestic and foreign will be enhanced through President Hillary Clinton. Hillary 2016 is on big time.

Once re-elected, President Obama, and having paid any political debt to the Clintons, President Obama will have the opportunity to correct the tragic mistake of nomination Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. He can then appoint a person of integrity, diplomatic skills, and good judgement to champion peace over militarism, and human rights, economic justice, and environmental protection over corporate profiteering.

Excellent point. Begala is using the formula so often uemployed by Hillary operatives: claim objectivity, criticize, then claim she has now "changed" and is amazing. How many times will they futily try to "reinvent" Hillary as qualified to lead the nation and the world before they hear America's resounding "no thanks"?

Believing anyone including Hilary can change the coop d'etat that has occurred is in total denial of the facts. We have past the precipice and the only thing left is the streets and facing the police whohave now become part of the military and Home Land Security. Face facts, we are sheep and the battle was fought and lost because we took the day off. Hilary as a savior is just a dilusion at this point.

obama/biden 2012 and hillary clinton in 2016! the deficit will be eradicated by the dems again in that time, just as it was under bubba, and then we have to make sure the gop/tp never gets its hands on the national economy again for all time! the first great depression caused by them and the near second great depression after they spent down the clinton surplus and created the present deficit is enough for me to know better than to ever vote gop/tp again in my lifetime!

Hillary is a star and can write her own ticket. If she ran she probably would win given how fickle the American public is. Maybe she has come to peace with herself about the limits of politics and will become a great professor at some lucky school. She has fantastic choices ahead.

I would love to see Hillary run in 2016. She has learned how to be a better politician and she has expanded and strengthened her base of support within the party in the last few years. Biden might be a problem if he decides to run, but he will be 74, so age might be an issue.
Of course Hillary will be 69, so that might also be a factor. It's all just speculation at this time!

Hillary and Bill helped give the green light to the those on wall street and the Bush administration to destroy our economy. They did it by passing NAFTA and repealing the Glass Steagall act, oh they became very rich personally as a result. Now she has had a first class trip around the world on tax payer money to boot. No more Clinton's enough already besides we have Elizabeth Warren who has much more integrity.

It is laughable when Clinton operatives like Begala fuel speculation and then spin that the Hillary is just not interested or involved. She's been in "campaign" overdrive for months trying to replace Biden on the 2012 ticket, or land the World Bank job, and now organizing for a run in 2016.

Let's remember that Hillary had more advantages than any presidential candidate in history in 2008:

-- virtual universal name recognition,

-- a media drumming her as “inevitable”

-- a PR machine casting the spotlight on her “dream team” of staff and advisors, led by women.

-- the well established Clinton political machine in place in virtually every state and community in the nation,

-- leadership experience with two successful presidential campaigns,

-- a huge campaign war chest and a mega million dollar personal fortune

-- the UNPRECENTED advantage of a popular, former PRESIDENT campaigning for her FULL TIME in a Democratic primary.”

As Begala notes, Hillary could not lead and lost. He is using a formula often used operatives on Hillary's behalf: claim objectivity, criticize, and then say BUT Hillary has changed, look at her now. After noting her failures, he exagerates her record as SoS. In truth, Hillary has championed use of military force over diplomacy, advocating for escalation in Afghanistan and violent regime change around the globe. If her Iraq War vote troubled voters in 2008, her record as SoS should ALARM them.

In 2016, Hillary will still lack integrity, good judgment and fundamental leadership skills.

It is very dangerous for democracy to equate political opposition and concern about lack of integrity in public officials with "hate" and to try to vilify and disqualify the opinions of someone for speaking out simply because they you don't like their opinions.

Understandably, many women of Hillary's generation and older are desperate to see a female president in their lifetime, and have supported Hillary as their only real opportunity for that too happen. I understand their impatience.

But, does it really serve the cause of women and equality in society to promote someone whose is so short on integrity, good judgment and leadership skills, and whose "career" and qualification has depended so heavily on her marriage and spouse? It is too bad there is not yet a women who could qualify to lead the nation and world and is capable of leading a successful presidential campaign.
