The GOP is going to die because not enough people believe in fairies. But if all of you clap your hands real hard to show that you do believe in fairies, maybe the GOP won’t die.

Republicans wish to pick up blue states.

Crap in one hand and wish in the other and see which one fills up faster Reds.

Obama has a lock on about 230 electoral college votes compared to about 70 for Mitt. Everything else is up for grabs and Obama can actually get to the magic number of 50% + 1 electoral college vote even if he were to lose several of the states he won in 2008.

I expect the senior GOP operatives know this. I also expect that they've written this one off.

Mitt himself however thinks he will win. He looks at the counties where he beat Santorum in blue states and thinks that means he can win those because they also represent Dem strongholds. All it really means is those were concentrations of education. In the general election, Mitt will win the same backwaters that went for Santorum, while Obama takes the counties Mitt won in the primaries. By comparable margins.

The real fun will be places like LA, Arkansas, Missouri. Will the country boys, with Confederate flags on their bumpers, vote for Massachusetts upper crust, or Chicago?

"Republicans Hope Blue States Go Red In November"

Pardon me, but isn't that the whole idea of a political campaign? See, this is what you get when you turn the interns loose and let them make up the headers of the articles.

This all from right-wing pollsters. Heck, Romney is going to have a tough time even winning Red States... What a laugh.
