In the latest edition of "Laser Cats," the totally insane homemade short films on "Saturday Night Live," Andy Samberg and Bill Hader scored a major coup to direct the movie: Steven Spielberg.
The legendary director made a cameo appearance as the man behind "Laser Cats 7," which is aptly about Andy's quest to deliver his new alien friend E.A.T. (for Extra Awesome Terrestrial) back to his home planet, while stopping Nazis from using Laser Cats for evil. It's filled with nods to Spielberg movies like "Jaws," "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," "Jurassic Park," "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and of course "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial."
With widespread rumors that Andy Samberg's time at "SNL" is coming to a close, this could very well be the last "Laser Cats" short.
So does Lorne Michaels finally approve of one of Andy and Bill's "Laser Cats" shorts with such star power attached to it? Watch to find out.
