Pat Mccrory Gay Marriage Ban

Charlotte Observer:

He’d rather talk about something else – say, the economy or education.

But press Pat McCrory about gay marriage, and the presumptive Republican nominee for governor will say this much – and little more: On May 8, he plans to vote for the proposed N.C. constitutional amendment reaffirming the state’s ban on same-sex marriage.

Of course he does. It doesn't affect his life or any of the lives of the bigots. But that has never stopeed them. Disgusting that he has to make points with the voters or his god by voting for prejudice and backwardness.

Wow! Now, that's a surprise. I never saw it coming, I mean with all the moderate Republicans these days. Please don't tell me he'd like to repeal an "equal pay" law, or further restrict abortion, or do away with unions, or something like that as well.

No big surprise here. If you want sane marriage rights in this country you will have to wait a few generations. OR MOVE TO A STATE THAT ALREADY HAS THEM - TRY THE NORTHEAST.

Until 1967, one man and one woman could not get married in North Carolina...that is, if they were different "races". And boy did they have some wacky definitions of "race" in the anti-marriage laws of North Carolina.

Republicans are worse than the KKK. At least the Klan comes right out and says they don't like gay people just because they are gay. The Republicans try to hide their views and practice bigotry on the sly.

Agreed! But the GOP/TP only succeeds in keeping it from other GOP/TP members. That's because they believe everything the GOP/TP says.
