'Undercover Boss: Abroad': Cineplex CEO Faces Blackout Inside Canada's Largest Theater Chain (VIDEO)

'Undercover Boss: Abroad': Cineplex Theater Blackout

"Undercover Boss" was such a big hit that international versions spawned across the globe. Now, some of those stories have reached US shores under the title "Undercover Boss: Abroad" (Mon., 8 p.m. ET on TLC). This week, the show went on a trip up North as the CEO of Canada's largest theater chain went undercover at Cineplex.

Ellis Jacob found mostly positive experiences with the four members of his company he worked with, and proved more competent that some CEOs in other editions. Fans of the US version of "Boss" may have felt a little underwhelmed with his offerings to his employees as well, during the big reveal.

A huge movie buff was offered a trip to CinemaCon in Las Vegas, complete with VIP treatment, while a musical lover was sent to New York to take in a Broadway play or opera show. The company's oldest employee was offered a VIP screening of "Casablanca," his favorite movie, and a new sound system.

It was Katie, though, who got the biggest offer. She'd recently applied to move to the home office, and Jacob let her know that she'd gotten that job. He also fulfilled her wish to travel to Europe with a trip to Paris.

"Undercover Boss: Abroad" chronicles international stories every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
