Kelli Bordeaux Missing: Missing Fort Bragg Soldier May Be In Danger, Cops Say (SLIDESHOW)

Missing Soldier May Be In Danger, Cops Say

Investigators believe that a missing Fort Bragg soldier could be in danger.

Pfc. Kelli Bordeaux, a 23-year-old Army combat medic, was last seen on Saturday leaving the Froggy Bottoms bar in Fayetteville, N.C. -- and new information suggests that she "may be in danger," investigators told WRAL-TV.

Investigators didn't elaborate on the new details.

Friends and family told the station that tardiness is out of character for Bordeaux, who was labeled a missing person when she failed to show up for duty on Monday.

"Kelli is a good soldier," her sister, Olivia Cox, told the station. "Kelli is not a soldier who would go AWOL."

Cops said she disappeared after leaving the bar at about 1:20 a.m. At some point that morning, two text messages were sent from her phone. One said, "got home safely," according to CNN. It's yet unclear who the text was sent to or what the contents of the second text was.

Bordeaux's mom, Johnna Henson, told cops that a yet-unidentified individual gave the soldier a ride to the bar, where she sang karaoke. Henson doesn't believe that her daughter reached her home, despite the texts.

The soldier has been married to her civilian husband for two years.

"I can't function not knowing where she is. How can someone hurt her?" Henson told ABC News. "I lost my mother and my husband within a three months span. I can't deal with losing my child. I can't deal with anymore loss."

Bordeaux is 5 feet tall and weighs 99 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink halter top and black shorts. Anyone with information is asked to contact Fayetteville Police at (910) 433-1856 or CrimeStoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
