'Madonna Generation' Of 50-Plus Women Defy Jobs Recession In The UK

Women aged between 50 and 64, dubbed the “Madonna generation,” have fared better than men and any other age group during the jobs crisis, by setting up their own businesses or working part-time to boost household income, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) report revealed.
