'The Real Housewives Of Atlanta:' Sheree Whitfield Announces She's Leaving Bravo Series

Sheree Whitfield Leaving 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta'

It's official: After four dramatic seasons, Sheree Whitfield is divorcing Bravo's "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta."

“After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful Housewives franchise, I have decided to leave," Whitfield told Wetpaint Entertainment. "The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I’m tired of the fighting and the cattiness."

"I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect," she continued. "I wish the rest of the women the best of luck. I’m thrilled to say I’m now a free agent and am already fielding offers."

Ex-wife of former Atlanta Falcons player Bob Whitfield, Sheree undoubtedly had a shaky run on the series as she attempted to launch her fashion line, She By Sheree, while battling her ex in court for child support and trying to build her dream mansion, all while dealing with the catty atmosphere of the reality show.

Whitfield's post-"Housewives" ventures include focusing on her clothing line and starting something in the fitness realm to inspire healthy living. The remaining cast members on the series include Nene Leakes, Kim Zolciak, Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks and Cynthia Bailey.

Part 2 of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion airs Thurs., Apr. 19 on Bravo.
