Tucker Cipriano Charged In Baseball Bat Beating Death Of Father, Robert Cipriano

A 19-year-old Detroit-area man has been charged with brutally beating his father to death with a baseball bat, CBS Detroit reports.

Tucker Cipriano and 20-year-old Mitchell Jordan Young have each been charged with one count of first-degree premeditated murder as well as first-degree felony murder in Robert Cipriano's death Monday night. If convicted, both men face life in prison, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Cipriano and Young have also been charged with one count of armed robbery and two counts of assault with intent to murder in the beatings of Cipriano's mother, 51-year-old Rose Cipriano, and brother, 17-year-old Salvatore Cipriano, who were injured in the same baseball bat attack. Both Rose and Salvatore Cipriano remained in critical condition on Wednesday, CBS Detroit reports.

Two children -- Salvatore's twin brother Tanner and 8-year-old Isabella -- were home during the violent assaults, but were not injured, Farmington Hills Patch reports. The children are currently staying with family members.

This is the latest charge for Cipriano, who had been arrested at least five times before, according to the Detroit Free Press. He had been on probation since Feb. 24 following a 153-day stint in Oakland County jail related to drug convictions and did not show up to an April 5 meeting with his probation officer.

The agent who was assigned to Cipriano has been suspended, according to the Associated Press.

Cipriano was recently kicked out of the family's home after several run-ins with the law. The Monday night beatings may have been a part of a failed robbery, police said.
