Jeff Sessions: Obama Should Take Responsibility For GSA, Secret Service And Solyndra Scandals

Jeff Sessions Obama Gsa Secret Service Solyndra

LAURIE KELLMAN   04/19/12 01:06 PM ET  AP

WASHINGTON — A Southern Republican is raising questions about whether President Barack Obama is capably leading the government.

Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama tells reporters the president should take responsibility for the Secret Service, GSA and energy company Solyndra scandals and insist on a government culture in which taxpayer dollars are not wasted. He said, "I don't sense that this president has shown that kind of managerial leadership."

Sessions is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is expected to receive a briefing Friday from the Secret Service and hold a hearing next week. The service has ousted three of 11 agents and officers alleged to have cavorted with prostitutes in Colombia in advance of Obama's visit there.

The president has pushed for a thorough investigation into the incident.

Jeff Sessions Knows Full Well That the President was NO Able to Affect Either of the Situations that he is Describing; Nor Could he or any other President Prevent Every action of more than One Hundred Thousand Persons, Who are Needed to Operate our Government!

On what planet is appropriate for the male President of a country to take responsibility for a man, who consciously decided to poke his johnson in a prostitute?

The new tilt the GOP is trying to take against President Obama is that he does not behave like a CEO. NOR SHOULD HE. Despite their wet dreams, the U.S. of A. is a country, not a Corporation. The three branches of government are by design the servants of the citizenry, not their superiors nor their overseers.

According to my education of the congress, it is the congress that has the oversight of these departments. Where we're the repub's who currently have the oversight power's?

Jeffy, if and when Bushy 43 ever steps up and takes responsibility for his decisions. Then maybe I might want what you are demanding of our President right now. Otherwise, I am happy with his underlings’ failures to remain with them.

“Whereas Bush couldn't name a single mistake -- not, say, letting Osama bin Laden escape from Tora Bora, or refusing to allow weapons inspectors to ascertain that Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction, or backing economic policies that took the greatest budget surplus in American history and turned it into the biggest deficit in history…” Paragraph 7 from http://articles.cnn.com/2010-01-08/opinion/begala.obama.takes.responsibility_1_saddam-hussein-george-w-bush-weapons?_s=PM:OPINION

What Solyndra scandal? Republican Congressman Darrell Issa stated on March 30th that there was no wrongdoing and there was no criminal activity. Besides, there were many other companies involved in that loan who did just fine. No one talks about that. They only talk about Solyndra, the one that failed. Most Republicans like to cherry-pick their facts.

Thats because Republicans don't believe in facts...

Republicans seem to forget about the Halliburton scandal!!!! This company owned by Chaney was filling for bankruptcy right before he became VP. Low and behold he became VP and not only did it not file but it went overseas with all the war things going on and made BILLIONS of DOLLARS, and is still overseas now still making BILLIONS of DOLLARS on the tax payer money.

I am sure he will as soon as Bush takes responsibility for starting two needless unfunded wars and ruining the US economy.

Yes. Yes Obama should take the blame for the SS actions. Also, he shot the sheriff. Probably not the deputy, but let's go ahead and assume him too, just to be on the safe side.

Damn Republicans did you forgot about MMS under Bush's watch?????? Let me refresh your memory, Mineral Management Service. Now do you remember????? Under Bush's watch this gov organization bought and paid for hookers, booze, cocaine, hotels, parties, vacations, for top CEO, CFO, COO, of all the oil, drilling, companies. But once again Republicans forget because they all have short memories.

There is a missing roadsign on Interstate I 95 - should the president take responsibility for that also? This is getting ridiculous.

Sen. Jeff Sessions is bold and brave, and capable of asking educated questions. Too bad Mr. Obama isn't able to handle sensible and reasonable questioning.
And for the unemployed, wonder how they are going to like the new plan Obama has for " Work while you're drawing unemployment" new program... What, did they think they would get something for nothing?? Maybe American citizens want to Google Food Deserts (not desserts) and what that means to our livelyhood.

“friends could profit billions - on American mothers burying their babies?! Does that include George Soros - Obama's political contributor - since Soros bought TWO MILLION shares of Halliburton in 2006?”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Of course! Doesn't matter who profited, it was a crime. Premeditated murder by Bush. Muder for profit. Murder Inc. would have been jealous.

Jeff Sessions is still smarting that was denied a seat on the SCOTUS because he's a racist.  This throwback to the Reconstruction Era isn't relevant except in some Southeast states.

“Two problems here: First, you're complaining about Reagan selling guns to "terrorists." At the time, they weren't terrorists; we were arming them to fight the Russians. Remember now? Also, at least he SOLD them, as opposed to Obama GIVING them to Mexicans (Fast and Furious ring a bell?). Second, he say that Bush should be "hung" on Capitol Hill. Are you calling for his assassination? Just a simple yes or now will suffice.”
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Your ignorance and denial of the Reagan administration is typical of your Republican ilk. Iran was and is considered a terrorist state. There was a worlwide embargo about selling weapons to them, we were one of the first to call for it. Reagan secretly, without congress approval, sold weapons to the terrorists in Iran. These same terrorists armed Hezbollah that killed over 250 Marines in Beirut, then Reagan ran away
Reagan also led the largest cocaine smuggling operation into our country, even supplying planes to insure safe passage of the drugs.
Bush should be hung for killing over 4,500 American children in Iraq so that his friends could profit billions on American mothers burying their babies. Assination? no! He should be tried, convicted and hung for premeditated murder.
