Joe Jr. Awards: We Picked A Winner!

And The Winner Is...

The time is now! We have finally finished judging the Joe Jr. Awards and have picked the winner of HuffPost College's contest for the best in college journalism.

We had some impressive entrants in this content. Many people submitted their stories, and the judging panel was absolutely stunned by how fantastic they were. We picked 10 finalists (see them here). The readers picked five semi-finalists. We'd like to honor them now.

Alex Kuczynski-Brown, Cornell University

Zachary Goldhammer, University Of Chicago

Melanie Deziel, UCONN

Laura Cofsky, UPENN

Neal J Riley, Boston University

Thank you all so much for submitting your stories! However, we are pleased to announce that the winner of the Joe Jr. Award is Alex Kuczynski-Brown of Cornell University for her story, Ivy League Rethinks Concussions.

Congratulations Alex! Thank you all for submitting, and stay tuned for next year's contest!
