Oh my, that's high praise — if I were Senator Lautenberg, I'd send him a thank you note.

The current Guv knows he'll never measure up to Senator Lautenberg's record of service that has benefitted NJ and all Americans; not just Dems.

Takes one to know one: Christie avoided the tolls by flying over them.

Verbal spats with 88-year old Senators from one's own state... not presidential or Vice presidential conduct.

A Governor needs to conduct himself with enough diginity and respect for the public - and fellow office holders - such that he earns more respect for his office, and does not tempt comics to mock it.

At least he didn't use a helicopter to his kid's ball game because he couldn't manage his time or manage anything for that matter, right Gov.

Oh please, all politicians are an embarrassment for us and the country, want proof, look around and see what they have created with their greed, short sightedness and no planning! Instead of trying to find a viable solution they can only resort to ATTACKS. People write them off when it comes to an attack on the opponent, we have bigger problems, this is not an entertainment, no cock fight. This is serious will impact us all.

The GOP likes household budget analogies, so try this one. In any household, the breadwinners pay the bills. I'm for the big bread winners to pay for the debts we've run up. A war tax cut for the wealthy instead of a war tax was a financial crime.

"As a war veteran, I’ve gone up against much larger foes than Chris Christie, Lautenberg said"

This could only refer to Lautenberg's often shared story during WW II wherein he was involved in hand to hand combat with a hippopotamus.

Chris Christie is a political poltroon who stole mass-transit funds to keep gasoline prices artificially low. Toll roads were sold to the public on the basis of getting private investors to fund public projects by sale of interest bearing bonds. When the bonds were paid off -- by toll monies -- that public got a free piece of infrastructure funded by the users. That does not seem to have occurred in New Jersey, by the Port Authority, by the MTA or any other government entity that sucks up an endless stream of revenue.

From the article:
"As a war veteran, I’ve gone up against much larger foes than Chris Christie, ...," Lautenberg said."

I wonder if he meant it literally?
