Medical Marijuana States

Slowly but surely, more and more states are legalizing the use of medical marijuana.

ProCon.org has a list of the sixteen states, plus the District of Columbia, that have medical marijuana laws currently on the books.

There are also 12 states that have pending legislation to legalize marijuana for medical purposes.

But things aren't completely peachy for medicinal pot advocates. CNBC reports that the tide may be shifting against the drug, especially with the federal government cracking down on dispensaries in several states.

Still, on a day like 4/20, it seems fitting to note the states that allow their citizens to legally use marijuana under certain circumstances.
