After catching the Secret Service's attention with some inflammatory remarks about President Barack Obama, Ted Nugent has been removed from a concert lineup at a prominent military base.

Fort Knox's June 23rd concert was originally scheduled to have Nugent as the headliner. On Tuesday, Nugent said that he would be "dead or in jail by this time next year" if President Barack Obama is re-elected." Forty-eight hours later, changes to the concert lineup were in the works.

"After learning of opening act Ted Nugent's recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation," said a post on the official Fort Knox, KY Facebook page Thursday.

REO Speedwagon & Styx remain lead acts. The U.S. Army post added that customers wanting a refund may request one by calling Ticketmaster.

Nugent met with the Secret Service on Thursday, calling the get-together "a good, solid, professional meeting." The agency added that any potential issues had been resolved.

Outside his Secret Service comments, Nugent's rough week included a guilty plea in an Alaska black bear killing case. According to the plea agreement, the rocker turned hunter illegally shot and killed a bear in May 2009, days after wounding a bear in a separate hunt. The AP notes that the state's seasonal limit on bear hunting is one creature.

Ted criticizes the President, and looses a concert date; now that's government censorship. But it's OK with those who Worship Obama and depend on him.

With the whacked out, freak Ted Nugget and Rush Limbaugh, the republicans really know how to pick quality spokes people. The republicans set the bar to an all time low. And of course the GOP has no problem with this guy, but they really let it be known how bad and UN-American the Dixie Chicks were with there mundane comments about "W". Can you say HYPOCRITE...

This long-haired hippy freak would have been on J. Edgar Hoovers list back in the day for saying what he said. Nixon would have had him wire-tapped. Now they are the standard-bearers for the Republican Party?? How low can they go??

The only audience this "has been who never really was" has is the '70's burnout crowd and the gun-loving bigots who are PO'd that there's a black man in the White House trying to tell them what to do. They feel like their way of life is being threatened because the NRA has said as much. It's only a matter of time before one of these miscreants try somethingt stupid. Being a public figure, you have the responsibility to think before you speak, and this yahoo knows that. You cannot incite violence and hide behind the Constitution.

You insult yourself much better than anyone else can, Ted.
08:47 AM on 04/28/2012
Maybe he can sing and strut around at the next Hutaree shindig. Why do people posting here believe Nugent will read these comments? Just what we need, a bunch of soldiers riled up with your anti-presidential comments. Colleges react to pressure against certain speakers and decline to invite them to speak at commencements, etc. Nugent, Glenn Beck and Michelle Malkin are the fringe and their comments to the uninformed are designed to rile them up and cause harm. I agree with the DOD decision to ax Nugent and his ax.

Tommy you are uninformed......people that listen to Glenn Beck and Michelle Malkin are of the most informed and smart listeners.......

Are you saying that "the most informed and smart Americans that care about our country" are ignoring the fact that Ted is a draft dodger, or is it that they actually didn't know?

This guy was hit with the ugly stick. Really bad. And there he is standing next to Palin with her astygmatism eyeball. Two dumb dumbs rolled into one. They should have married. Both slaughter animals because they think it makes them special. Both are illiterate losers. Both have abdominal fat so I doubt they need food on the table. Two disgusting people. Karma is hitting both in the rear end big time. Hunting animals that are set up to be slaughtered, well, you have to be some kind of stupid to do that. Insecure and stupid and lowlife losers.

Back in March, a reporter overheard Ted Nugent on his cell phone in a sports/gun store talking to Mitt Romney who was clearly soliciting an endorsement from the ex-rocker. Nugent promised, once he'd secured Romney's pledge not to back down on the Second Amendment and gun owners' rights.

Now the Romney campaign denies the request while son Tagg extols the "cool" endorsement.

Trashy enough was Mr. Romney's acceptance of casino owner Donald Trump's endorsement at his Las Vegas Trump Hotel, but this is beyond the pale.

At the same mid-April NRA convention in St. Louis where Romney vowed his support, the former rocker ranted his reckless subtext suggesting the assassination of President Obama. Romney's response, forced by public opinion, called only for more civility.

Noteworthy are the multiple shootings in St. Louis in recent years, so numerous that local groups have demanded a gun violence summit.

The NRA is now distancing themselves from board member Nugent.

If Mitt out of gratitude
Names that cool ex-rocker dude
For a presidential post,
That'd really be the most!

If the guy should be the veep,
In the White House he could keep
Ammo stacked with semis, too---
Rat-tat-tat! That's what he'd do!

What a high, man, when he'd trash
Every liberal with his stash!
Sure, I know the point is moot---
Hell, what if he doesn't shoot?

If he does, though, what a hoot!

Hello Again...Amazing how hypocritical the majority of the postings are on this flaming left website. There are simply a dozen or more black leaders that weekly say inflaming statements against the government and people of the United States...remember the President Bush era? Daily very negative comments...But oh, not fair against your idol, Obama. Hilarious to watch this. Also, if we take 80% of the comments on this site, and ask each one of you to take your political arguments to their conclusion...What would America be? Everyone gets a free house, car and groceries? Is that what you really believe a free society needs? Everyone gets everything they need without building their own abilities. What is our society supposed to be in your mind 5 years from now? You will all be working harder for lower value. Attacking business professionals that make our economy grow, seems so counter productive. I only ask that you take your visions of "what this country should be like"....to its conclusion. GREECE? Is that your goal? This administration has decieved you...and lied about the quest to help America. His change is not new...or hope filled. It is to change the power base. But beware, you will only serve a new master. Is a big brother government your true idea of prosperity? Has it ever worked anywhere in the world?

THIS IS NOT A FREEDOM OF SPEECH SUBJECT NOR A POLITICAL GENDER ISSUE.....LET ME SAY THIS ONCE MORE......YU DO NOT MAKE THREATS AGAINST THE PRES.......PERIOD!!!

Ted defecated in his pants to avoid the draft. He is a yellow-bellied coward just like you. He threatened the life of a government official, which is worse than yelling fire in a crowded theater (or did you drop of school in the third grade and miss that American history lesson). The army has freedom of speech as well and can have or not have anyone they please to perform. Nugent knew exactly what he was saying. He wanted a Jared Lee Loughner teabagger type to take a shot at Obama, just as I'm sure you want to, but you are too much of a coward like Ted Nugent to directly say it. You are and Nugent are a disgrace to America. I'm sure you would have dodged the draft as well while advocating for war. Typical teabagger. Plus the system works well in Holland, France, England, Canada, Norway, just to name a few.

Love that first picture of Ted and SP the draft dodger and the quitter, how fitting. The man is constantly wearing camos, what a load, when he really could have worn them he disdained to. The Conservative Right wing is always touting itself as the party of family/religious/American values YET they embrace a KNOWN coward and a QUITTER, now how can this be?!? The American values i grew up with did not included, cowardice, torture or quitting, Americans NEVER QUIT, remember that one, sure ya do.
