We've seen a lot of celebrities enlisted to host cruises, but a new group of hostesses are planning to bring some spice to the seas. This September, a bevy of drag queens will headline their own sailing of Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas.
The "Disco Queens on the High Seas" cruise will include special guests Tommie Ross, Darcel Stevens, Ginger Minj, Aysia Black and Chantel Reshae. In between disco parties and Broadway-inspired shows put on by the ladies, the main event will be a three-part Miss High Seas 2012 Pageant. (Each with open bar included.)
While not imbibing and dancing the night away, guests can enjoy ports of call in Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Haiti and Jamaica.
Rates for the September 16 through 22 trip start at $1,555, and the trip can be booked through the cruise's website. Also on the site, beauty pageant hopefuls can register to participate in the Miss High Seas pageant. Couldn't hurt to try -- the top prize is $1,000 cash.
