Eve Shreve allegedly tried to kill herself and set her home on frie with a foreclosure notice. http://yourerie.com/fulltext?nxd_id=191497

CORRY, Pa. -- A northwestern Pennsylvania woman will spend 10 years on probation for attempting suicide by setting fire to her home with a foreclosure notice.

The Erie Times-News reports Monday that Erie County Judge John Garhart opted not to imprison 48-year-old Eve Shreve, saying her actions were "entirely due to a mental health matter that overwhelms her like a wave." She had pleaded guilty in March to arson and reckless endangerment charges.

Police say Shreve's estranged husband told officers his wife acknowledged setting the fire to her home in Corry on March 18, 2011.

Crews rescued Shreve and her son after finding her unresponsive from sleeping pills and also determined that she had cut her wrist.

She had faced up to 22 years in prison before Monday's sentencing.

The only way money comes into circulation is through loans, loans have an immediate debt attached called 'interest'. By fraudulent design, the banknotes to cover the interest have never been printed, meaning it is physically impossible for everyone to pay back their loans PLUS INTEREST. People are forced to 'chisel off' each other to pay their debts but when the banks call in their loans someone is left holding the 'short straw'. It is analogically equal to 'musical chairs'. This is why so many ppl are losing their homes & part of the reason for 'occupy wall street'.
The Rothschild controlled, privately owned, 'Federal Reserve Act' is probably the greatest robbery in American history. It is the international banking families who own the Federal Reserve & control the credit-debt scam through the banks. The banks are basically a 'middle man' between the Federal Reserve & the population they are robbing. The cheek of it is they print the money out of thin air, backed by nothing & through the 'fractional reserve' system, can loan 10x what they actually have!

How could she even think of killing her own son? Killing yourself, fine but to take her son with her is so selfish!

Glad she got caught before she was able to go through with it!

All right. I'm all about forgive and forget. I've read your comments since that post, and you have a plethora (sp?) of insight on this subject...lots more than I have. I just found the previous comment very brutal. It was not to pick on you, but to see how the "powers that be" handled it. I just found it neat how some things can hang in the balance for 4 hours, while we sometimes have to wait...say...over an hour for our comments to post on subjects that are of, shall we say..."sensitive" natures. Continue to post...and live on in the "land of the free" to do whatever you're told to do as long as you can "brave" it!!!

I know some of the people commenting on the mortgage companys behalf are investors and the companys them selfs and very rude people at that, is that why so many of the are being investigated on wrong doings? Yes I watch the news and I can tell you these companys lie to you and tell you they can help you..Stay away from modifications, instead of helping they are foreclosing..Not all people are at fault of loosing there homes its the mortgage companys/banks not doing there paper work like they should be and lieing to the people..There is help out there if your going threw a scam from your mortgage/bank company, first thing is to contact your attorney general and report them..These mortgage companys/banks/preditory lenders are hard to fight because they are on the line of being legal and almost unlegal thats why they are being investigated oh but they catch on and sell your deed or change the company name but same number, address and people I know I had all this happened to me and not of my doing they were at fault my home was saved but I feel for others going threw the same thing..Contact your attorney general and your attorney there is help..As for this woman sounds as if she has had mental issues for a long time but with something like a forclosure brought her to her peak..

But she was just following the Democrats and Obama's Platform as she felt she was "Entitled" to live in a house she could not pay for
11:28 AM on 04/24/2012
Wonderful, she must have gotten the idea to buy house from Bush.
01:06 PM on 04/24/2012
No she got the idea from the Democrats who beleive buy anything you want even if you can't afford it and don't worry about paying for it . Just look how Obama has raised the defict 3 times higher in 3 years than Bush did in 8

Attempting suicide is a felony in most states. So we lock them up and spend hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars a year to house, feed, clothe, medicate and entertain them with cable TV and Internet.

If nobody bought houses they couldn't afford nobody would own a house. These days nobody owns anything. Lease your cars mortgage your house make payments on your water heaters and leave your kids a bill instead of an inheritance. My sister has been living in a house for 8 years that she is currently trying to sell. In 8 years she's been paying her mortgage on time, and mroe than the minimum payment. She only owns 30% of her house. She could have built five modular homes for what she has paid the bank. The difference would be she'd own them. Technology should be embraced, but we point at those living in modular homes like they are somehow lesser than the people living in McMansions. Backwards society. I'd rather own a house that can be moved than rent from a bank.

I strongly recommend Peter Joseph's 'Zeitgeist movement' video's, they feature 'the Venus project' by Jacque Fresco & Roxanne Meadows. Its all about exposing the fraudulent lies & scams of bankers/politicians & the problems of a 'profit-based society' & proposes an excellent solution, a 'resource based economy', which embraces technology.

It wasnt just the people who were poor who lost there homes. Some of the loans were rigged. After so many years the payments balooned and MANY hard working people lost their homes too.

You can blame this on Bill Clinton when he signed the bill to deregulate the banking industry which lead to banks making loans to people that they knew could never repay!!
10:29 AM on 04/24/2012
Learn your facts !!!!!!!!!!!! It was fannie Mae that caused it and the Republicans wanted hearings into the practices of Fannie Mae but Barnie Frank and the other Democrats blocked it. If the hearings were held it would have come out what fannie Mae was doing

Without the deregulation of the banks Fannie Mae couldn't have done anything. You might want to do a little research before you show your stupidity.
Also in 1995 Bill Clinton revised the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) that President Carter signed into law back in 1977 by making banks meet a quota for a certain number of low income loans. He also increased punishment for banks that dont loan enough money to low income borrowers. This forced banks to write lots of loans that they would not otherwise have written, because the government forced them to which is the main culprit for this house of cards of ours to come tumbling down.

Perhaps you should blame it on the people that borrowed the money they could never repay!

What would make you say that? A lot of suicide attempts are attempts because they are cries for help. IE Not cutting deep enough, not taking enough pills, etc. etc. There is a vast difference between a cry for help and a genuine attempt and it says a lot about the ruling. I hope she get's the care she needs because from working with suicidal people she is going to feel like a failure to some degree. "Genuine" attempts are rarely "only" attempts.
