Naked Man Allegedly Leads Police To His Ecstasy, Meth Lab

An Illinois man police found naked and covered in blood on a Des Plaines, Ill. street helped lead authorities to discover a meth lab the man was allegedly operating from the basement of his home.

Andrew R. Frame, 35, of the 1400 block of East Campbell Avenue, was found near the corner of Campbell Avenue and Center Street in the Chicago suburb just before midnight Monday, the Daily Herald reports.

Frame told police that he was forced to fight with someone inside his house nearby and that a murder had taken place there, the Herald reports. But after they investigated the scene, the only thing police found were drugs -- including cocaine -- and a possible drug lab in Frame's basement. They do not suspect an actual murder took place.

Frame, who remains hospitalized, was charged with multiple counts of manufacturing illicit drugs, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, TribLocal reports, and will likely face additional charges.

The Des Plaines arrest does not mark the first time police coming upon a naked man has ultimately led to the discovery of a meth lab. Earlier this year, police responding to reports of an allegedly naked man hanging out in a Kansas City, Mo. apartment hallway led police to a fourth-story unit where 20-ounce soda bottles were being used to cook the drug, KCTV reported.
