Bus Driver Fights Passenger Kyosha Moore, Who Allegedly Stole Her Wallet (VIDEO)

Bus Driver Brawl
A Columbus, Ohio, bus driver attacked a passenger she believed stole her wallet. Authorities did find the missing wallet on the alleged thief's body.

A bus driver in Columbus, Ohio, may get busted after brawling with a passenger accused of stealing her wallet.

The incident happened last week when the bus driver, whose name has not been released, stopped the bus and got off for a bathroom break during her normal route, according to RightThisMinute.

"She [told] the one woman on the bus, 'I'm going to run to the restroom,'" said RightThisMinute correspondent Gayle Bass. "That's when the bus driver says the woman reached in and grabbed the wallet."

Surveillance video obtained by WBNS-TV in Columbus, Ohio, shows a woman with a baby stroller, later identified as Kyosha Moore, reaching behind the driver's seat.

Another surveillance video taken at a Kroger grocery store shows the bus driver walking in and confronting Moore. Then, the two get into a physical fight that leaves them rolling on the ground.

"Police said the wallet was found on the suspect," Bass said.

That's the good news for the bus driver. The bad news is that her methods of retrieval are getting her in hot water with officials at the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA).

COTA spokeswoman Beth Berkemer told WBNS-TV that she would not go into detail about what COTA thought happened on the bus, but did say that the driver was under investigation.

"At this point in time, we're investigating all angles to see what happened," Berkemer said. "There is the possibility that our operator behaved in an unprofessional manner towards a customer, and that's not something we will accept, if that's how the situation occurred."

Meanwhile, Moore, who is currently being held in jail on bond, faces charges of felony theft and, according to local police, is also wanted outside of Hamilton County for violation of her parole on a forgery charge.

First of all the reason the purse was left was the driver forgot she had her purse and after driving for an hour and fourty five minutes she had to go to the restroom in an emergency. Driver addressed passenger and ,however when driver returned passenger was gone yet nothing to surprised over welfare building within a few steps. Driver loaded three new passengers and went to end of line. A regular asked how mich time was left and stated he was going to smoke when driver decided to join in while looking for her cigarettes she then realized she had purse when she reached up into a locked drivers box she reached discovered her cigarettes werent there which made her take purse out to realize not only was her cigarettes gone her wallet was gone as well. Driver secured bus contacted Cota from her cell phone advising she neede another driver and a supervisor asap. Driver also advised goong to see if she could find young lady to see if she saw anything. Driver went to welfare building yet she never came to that location, then when driver went to walk into Krogers to purchase more cigarettes and realizing her social security card, birth certificate as well as her military id was in her wallet for she used her ids and still had them in there Kyosha was walking out with her wallet in her left hand. Yes I recovered my wallet.Yes I sustained the situation,

Actually under the stand your ground law, the bus driver could of initiated the conflict then became in fear for her life, then pulled a gun out and shot the perp. The wallet thief could not stand her ground because she was committing a crime.

First I did iniate anything I simply had to go to the restroom forgot I even brought my purse that day and I need no gun when armored with God

Dont trust strangers to watch ur stuff and don't sink to their low life level! However, the woman was a dirty rotten thief who should have had the cops called on her.

Cota and cops were called

You really can't stomp your customers even if they stole your wallet. The company is going to take some kind of action if it wants to prevent employee anarchy and the lawsuits that will follow from beaten customers and a policy of not disciplining the drivers who assult and batter people just because they are bigger (and I mean bigger) than them.

Lawsuits my a..
That bus driver did a great thing (She Kicked A..)
11:22 AM on 04/26/2012
Typical American as viewed by the world and here at home. Violence solves everything. Smoking a cigarette in an office is a crime, but kicking the crap out of someone you think did something to you is just peachy.
03:51 AM on 04/27/2012
First she was no longer a customer,Secondly I did not assault her in the eyes of the law or I would have been arrested as well
05:17 PM on 04/25/2012
Charge the bus driver. Beatings should only be done by authorized Police forces.

First know the situation before you judge.

It was a sarcastic post. A reference to previous news items fraught with police beatings.

The bus driver, mabe broke a few rules ... but she got her wallet back, good for her, hats off to her!

You'r condoning violence. Frankly a good punch or kick to the head can kill an unlucky person or detach a retina and fracture an eyesocket or break a nose or cause them 25 grand in dental work or a neck injury and paralysis. There is a real risk there.

But nothing bad happened to her, like with most fights. She was provoked and the driver probably shouldn't have done that but No one should hold it against her. If some ghetto, low life thief took my stuff i'd be upset too.

Only a risk if not properly trained

This is a hard working woman driving a bus who gets her wallet stolen by a hood. She defended her property and now she is in trouble? Here's the story: most theives and cons need a punch in the face.. Did the bus company expect her to say, "Yes, please take my money - also, here are some keys you can use to scratch me car.". I just wish I was on the jury if this goes to court. I'd fight tooth and nail for the bus driver. I'm proud of her.

If they had been in Fla, she'd probably get to stand her ground when the suspect fought back.
04:33 PM on 04/25/2012
And then the Black Panthers , Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson would be on tv calling the driver a racist and that it was unfounded charges against the woman . Then they would demand the drive be thrown in jail for life .

Did you really mean to say that she handled this in the best manner? Is this how you would advise your kid to handle such a situation? Or would you, in fact, tell them that the safe and right thing to do when they are victims of a crime is to call the police. She put herself and her employer in danger by losing her temper and sinking to the level of a criminal. If this woman has kids, what sort of example did she set? This reactionary and irresponsible behavior is just another illustration of our societal decay.
03:57 AM on 04/27/2012
First of all the employer was not in jeopardy was walking back into store, poluce were called as well as Cota,Secondly I am military trained I detained and secured the situation.
