Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has been taken to a local hospital following his clash with team-mate Victor Valdes in the 2-2 Champions League second-leg draw against Chelsea at Camp Nou.
The Spanish defender collapsed to the floor after colliding with the goalkeeper just 17 minutes into the game.
He returned to the pitch after being given medical care, but felt unwell and had to be replaced by Dani Alves nine minutes later.
The 25-year-old, who returned to the starting line-up after a three-week absence, will undergo a battery of tests to learn if he has sustained damage from the challenge.
Barca have been denied the chance to defend their Champions League crown as a result of the 3-2 aggregate defeat to Chelsea following a 1-0 loss at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the semi-final tie.
