Florida Gov. Predicts He Won't Have To Pay To Win Reelection

Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) said Tuesday that he would seek a second term as governor -- and predicted that this time, he wouldn't have to pay for it.

At a question-and-answer session, a reporter asked Scott, who spent more than $73 million of his own money on his 2010 campaign, if he would need to self-finance again in 2014.

"I won't have to," Scott said, according to the Miami Herald.

In response to another question, he added, "I don't know what it will cost, but we'll have the money to win."

Scott's independent campaign committee, Let's Get To Work, raised $910,000 in contributions in the first three months of this year. A number of Democrats have expressed interest in challenging him in 2014.
