Celebrity Jeans: The Worst Trends Of All Time (PHOTOS)

As I type this, I am wearing a pair of on-trend mid-rise skinny jeans, but that doesn't mean my denim choices have always been acceptable. Ten years ago, I was a fan of the faded, pocket-less, embellished pants that were cool at the time. We've all been there, but fortunately for us civilians, those moments have disappeared into pre-Facebook photo albums or undeveloped film. Celebrities aren't as lucky; their worst denim experiences live on.

Take a peek in our slideshow below to see stars like Jennifer Lopez, Cher, Jessica Simpson and more wearing whiskered, patch-covered, even fur-trimmed jeans. Which pair do you think is the worst?

In related news, take a look at this embarrassing denim moment on 'Jersey Shore.'

Back in the '60s we bought jeans from the army-navy stores and the wide-leg navy jeans were great. Then Levis started paying attention to fashion and you could get a lot of variety there. Lees were good - I read that real cowboys preferred them over Levis because they were softer in the inseam and didn't rub when you were on a horse. (Good to know.) Look at early photos of Neal Young and you can see why he truly is the 'father of grunge.' He was wearing straight-leg faded jeans with rips in the knees back in the late 60s -- because that's how he dressed. Some of the girls around would embroider their jeans and some cut the legs and inserted cloth like the top photo shows. Those looked good with short tops and platform sandals. Good times!

Please please please please please... NO MORE RIPPED JEANS!!! NO ONE looks good or "put together" with their knees hanging out of their pants! (Or their hoohahs either... but that's a longer rant... LOL)

If the 'Worst Trends Of All Time' are in any way based on what is popular in today's world (no, I didn't explore your slideshow), you've lost any hope of credibility.

So, what kind of jeans are considered acceptable?!

Must comment some more. In my opinion, the worst look was on Donna Karan. Ironic. Can fashion/celebrity photographers PLEASE learn to take decent pictures? What's with the big head to tiny leg-look angles? It's totally unflattering to the subject and the clothing. Also, can celebs quit squeezing themselves into clothing two sizes too small? Again, it does to flatter either person or outfit.

Stupid article compiled by people with no fashion sense. How good do the Huff Post people look in their jeans? I bet most wear jeans ill-fitting and unsuited for their body shapes.

I would still wear many of these.

"on-trend"???

Buy a dictionary.

I looked through the slides; most of them looked okay to me. Yikes! Is that bad? I think jeans are a personal choice. Not every style looks great on every body type. Wear what you love and the rest of us should not judge!

I agree, I obviously have no fashion sense as i was wondering what is wrong with that in some of the pics...

One more thing for women to feel guilty, ashamed, or nervous about: whether their blue canvas trousers are "au courant".

Why so sexist? I thought the worst denim was that guy in that denim suit. Come on stop being sexist and giving us only a token male in "bad denim" clothing! You know men dress even worse!

Personally though I liked all those denim pics because people love denim, they feel good wearing it and it makes them happy!

I choose to wear the jeans that I like, regardless of trend (as distressed or embellished as possible!) And I look great in them!

Awhile ago on this site there was a video slideshow of TV ads from the 70s and 80s..........One was for Zena jeans.  WOW!  Now THAT was how jeans should be worn.
