'Dancing With The Stars': Gladys Knight Eliminated 60 Pounds Lighter

Gladys Knight Eliminated From 'Dancing With The Stars' 60 Pounds Lighter

Motown legend Gladys Knight said goodbye on "Dancing With The Stars" this week, the sixth of the hit ABC competition. And while the soul singer may have danced her last duel, the experience was, overall, a positive one.

"I'm feeling great, I really am," she told E! Online. And how could she not, after dropping 60 pounds during the month and a half she spent on the show.

"I feel amazing... Coming to 'DWTS' kept me where I should be, so I can be a healthy weight-loss person," she said.

Dance partner Tristan MacManus said in a video compilation that he'll miss Knight as much as he misses his hometown of Ireland while he's away competing. "And I really miss Ireland," he said, the LA Times reported.

"[Tristan] helped [by] wearing me out," Knight told reporters backstage, according to People.com. "You've got to eat healthy and you've got to put a little movement into it."

The duo fell to Disney star Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, although even the judges were sad to see them go. Head judge Len Goodman told the Empress of Soul, "If I could judge purely with my heart, you would be at the top of my leaderboard."

Knight isn't the only season-14 star who's slimmed down during a "Dancing With The Stars" competition. Actor Jaleel White tweeted earlier this month that he has lost 13 pounds so far and Welsh-born opera singer Katherine Jenkins told the Daily Mail that she'd lost a stone and a half, or about 21 pounds. "I'm burning so much energy now that it's hard to put the weight back on," she said.

Not surprising, given all the great health benefits of dancing. A number of stars on former seasons of "Dancing With The Stars" have lost weight as well. Nancy Grace and Ricki Lake both lost around 20 pounds in 2011, and Kirstie Alley lost 38 inches the season before.

Still, season 14 seems to be on a roll. What do you think? Could this be the fittest season of 'DWTS' yet?
