Grilled iPad: BBQ Techies Fire Up Apple Gadget

The Huffington Post  |  By Posted: 04/25/2012 12:32 pm Updated: 04/25/2012 1:52 pm

If willful destruction of expensive gadgetry makes you cringe, then look away: The barbecue fiends at Pork Barrel BBQ in Alexandria, Va. have inaugurated their new web series, "Can You Grill It?," with the flame-roasting of an iPad.

For the record, new iPads can cost anywhere between $499 and $829, making this one expensive barbecue.

Of course, this is hardly Pork Barrel BBQ's first foray into the ridiculous. Last summer, the guys released Que, a barbecue-scented cologne and perfume. Because who doesn't want to smell like barbecue all day?

Toxic, this must have violated several state and local laws. I hope there were no children around, because they would be removed, rightfully, from the home.

Morons, hopefully they have no reproduced.

Did they then destroy the grill following this stunt?

If not, big problem! Don't dare cook food on it. Toxic.

Never burn any computer components, they are loaded with arsenic and heavy metal poisons and such and when you burn them you can kill your self or contaminate and area permanently.

> their new web series, "Can You Grill It?,"

Yes, because that's totally not a ripoff of the "Will it Blend" series.

Besides being dumb, pointless, damaging to the environment, and let's not even get started on the fact that at no point did they give a disclaimer (pointless I know, because who would really want to grill their iPad but there are obviously dumb people in this world). This was just stupid. If that battery had blown up or a capacitor popped it could have seriously done some damage...but alas they are, as said before, dumb.

It was probably an iPad that was defective and didn't work.

And what would be the point, exactly, of this ridiculous exercise? Besides contributing to the pollution of all already polluted earth?

Indeed, my thought exactly. There's a lot of toxicity in a computer.

I say we need to make the sarcasm a little dirtier.

"...while smoking a turkey!!"

Did the turkey like it? :)
