John Cusack Celebrates His Walk Of Fame Star By Doing Purell Shots With Jimmy Kimmel (VIDEO)

John Cusack And Jimmy Kimmel Do Purell Shots

Getting a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame is a big deal for anyone, and recent recipient John Cusack got a round of applause for his from the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (Weeknights, 12 a.m. ET on ABC) audience Tuesday night.

Cusack and Jimmy Kimmel wanted to toast his star, but champagne was in short supply on the host's desk. So, John decided to combine an early Cinco De Mayo toast with a dangerous new teen trend and take a shot of ... Purell.

The had sanitizer was the only liquid around and Kimmel quipped that if the shots had been planned in advance the props guy would have filled the container with something other than Purell.

After consulting a doctor in the audience, Cusack and Kimmel took the plunge and did some Purell shots. Their verdict? "Wow, that's terrible," said Kimmel. Don't try this at home, kids!

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs weeknights at 12 a.m. ET on ABC.
