Nas' Announces That His 'Life Is Good'

Following a four year hiatus Def Jam recording artist Nas has finally announced that his 10th studio album, “Life Is Good,” will hit stores on July 17.

The long-awaited album, which is the follow-up to his controversial 2008 “Untitled” opus, features the singles “Nasty,” “The Don,” and his forthcoming No-I.D. produced track “Daughters,” scheduled to hit retailers on May 1.

During an exclusive 2011 interview with the Huffington Post, the Queensbridge, New York, native open up opened up on his friend’s reaction to the album’s title.

“When I first initially said it, of course it came as a shock to some of the people around me,” he said. “Actually it was just one person around me. Jungle [my brother] is pro-Life Is Good. He's one of the main riders for that title, along with everybody else. It was really just one dude, but everybody else overstand [sic] it. Life Is Good -- there's nothing better than that. There's nothing touching that. And that's real.”

Nas will simultaneous premiere his new video for “The Don” this coming Friday, April 27 on MTV and VEVO.
