Facebook Subscribe Suggestions: 50 People In Tech To Follow

Facebook Subscriber Suggestions

Back in September, Facebook introduced the Subscribe button, a feature that allows you to follow someone's public posts even if you're not friends.

It adds an interesting Twitter-esque dynamic in that you not only follow someone you're not friends with, but you can comment on their public posts (unless they turn that functionality off in their settings).

Who should you subscribe to? Facebook recommends accounts, including some of the most subscribed to on the site. You can also use the new Interest Lists to find people to subscribe to (search those here).

But what if you're just interested in finding those in tech? HuffPost Tech has curated the gallery below of 50 must-subscribes - for interesting insights, inspiration, and the opportunity for dialogue with some of the most influential folks in the industry. Let us know if you think we missed a must-subscribe in the comments below or tweet us @HuffPostTech.

You can find HuffPost staffers to subscribe to here (and the author of this post here). You can also subscribe to the list below on Facebook here.

Thanks, Hillary. We're working on different lists for different verticals. Media has one too. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/30/facebook-subscribe-suggestions-50-in-media_n_1464571.html More to come.

Why would I want to follow these folks? While these poeple are clearly established there is not a one on the list that actually understands technology or is a visionary in any true techonologic sense. They are all very good at understanding and exploiting people, especially the folks that actually create the technology, but that is about it.

Great idea! Is this available in list form or must one really go one-slide-at-a-time?

Thanks! One at a time. It does show all the beautiful Timeline cover photos each has chosen though, and their number of subscribers. Hope you enjoy.

I'll say one thing. I won't buy one share of stock when the IPO comes out. Facebook makes nothing. It's useless other than social comments and links provided by posters to facebook. It'll be another bubble ready to burst. If you really want to get informed and educated in everything imaginable on the planet, google it.

Yes, exactly right. But didn't want the headline to be repetitive. It's also basically the same concept :) To follow their work/updates on Facebook.

I miss ASTUR INKTFIST: www.facebook.com/Inktfist
It's by a "virtual researcher about life, techno-culture, popsci and digital dreams!"

Inktfist's description:

"Virtual realities, new media -and technologies are fascinating. Why?

They shape the way we live, perceive, experience and interact through our bodies. The same bodies that create and shape those media and technological applications. We create our own (networked) realities.

Again: virtual realities, new media and technologies are interesting and fascinating. They allow us to dream and to be dreamed-up. However...

... the heart goes out to life itself, being/human and what it means to be/human. What it means to live, here, now. And how. WOW!"

Inktfist has to be 51! :)
