Molly Ringwald Drinks Kristen Stewart's Blood And Other Things We Learned From Her Reddit AMA

Molly Ringwald: 'I Drink The Blood Of Kristen Stewart'

How has '80s star -- everyone's former teenage crush -- Molly Ringwald managed to only get better with age? She drinks Kristen Stewart's blood, of course. OK, so that's probably not entirely accurate, but that's exactly how Ringwald answered the question during her Reddit AMA.

“Hi everyone. I’m Molly Ringwald," she introduced herself. “You probably know me from 'Sixteen Candles,' 'Breakfast Club' and 'Pretty in Pink.' Though I do lots of other things like write books, speak a little French and, until I started a Twitter account three days ago, raise three kids."

After getting her introduction out of the way, Ringwald openly answered her eager fans' questions. When asked if John Hughes almost fired Judd Nelson on the set of "The Breakfast Club" because of his behavior toward her, Ringwald confirmed the Redditor's question.

"This is true," she wrote. "I think Judd was doing the method actor thing during rehearsals. He was wearing Bender's clothes and trying to annoy me. I was fine but John Hughes was very protective of me. We ended up having a powwow, led by Ally. I remember her telling me, 'We have to get him focused. Like a laser' I think a bunch of us including myself called John and asked him to reconsider. I am thankful he did."

Ringwald also revealed that if she was forced to watch one of her classic '80s movies, she would choose "The Breakfast Club." "It had the best script," she wrote. "But 'Pretty in Pink' was the most fun." When asked about a fun behind-the-scenes moment from the classic 1985 high school movie, Ringwald revealed that the memorable pot-smoking scene in the film was actually improvised.

"When I did the smoking doobage scene, 'I'm so popular, everyone loves me at this school,' it was basically all improvised and John just let the camera roll for 20 minutes," she wrote. "He was so psyched with everything he got that he dragged my mother into the room where they were showing rushes so she could see how brilliant her daughter was. Of course, my mom was horrified."

As for that age old question -- Team Duckie or Team Blaine? -- Ringwald finally cleared the air, responding, "I am Team James Spader." Spader starred alongside Ringwald in 1986's "Pretty in Pink."
