Sandra Fluke Engaged To Adam Mutterperl

Posted: 04/26/2012 11:15 am Updated: 04/26/2012 12:38 pm

Sandra Fluke has gotten engaged to her longtime boyfriend, according to an exclusive report from the Daily Beast. Her fiance is Adam Mutterperl, a writer/producer/director who lives in Los Angeles.

The couple told the Daily Beast that "having dated for over eight years, we're just excited that our friends and family were kind enough to pretend to be surprised at our engagement. We're really looking forward to spending the next eight years planning our wedding."

Fluke made headlines in February when Rush Limbaugh called her a "slut" for advocating for birth control coverage. Fluke and Limbaugh are still trading barbs, most recently over the issue of student loans.

When Bill O’Reilly discovered in March that Fluke and Mutterperl were together, he pointed out that Mutterperl's father is a big time donor to the Democratic party.

“For six days, we have been telling you that the 30-year-old Georgetown law student has become a major player in the presidential election,” he said. “Last night, we reported that she is now being handled pro bono, for free, by the PR firm SKDKnickerbocker, which is good, because Sandra doesn’t have enough money to buy birth control pills, as we know. But there is more to Sandra’s story than just contraception. Right now, she’s on spring break in California with her boyfriend, who is the son of Democratic stalwart William Mutterperl. He has made at least 56 donations to Democratic candidates or organizations. Nothing wrong with that -- I’m just pointing it out.”

Did he introduce her to mom? Low standards in that family.

While we're discussing Sandra Fluke, does everyone here understand that nothing is free, so we'll all be paying for the "free" birth control she demands? We'll pay in the Obamacare taxes that take effect in 2013 and in necessary hikes in insurance premiums. [Seniors already paid, when $500 Billion was siphoned off from Medicare to Obamacare.]

And I have one more question. For four decades, women paid for their own birth control. Why can't they continue to do so? Why does the government have to be involved? I don't understand the reasoning.

Oh get a grip. It is much cheaper to pay for contraception than it is for pregnancy care and child health. People again st family planning need to start thinking.

People who use it should think about paying for it themselves.

Granted she has the right to pay for her own damn birth control, show me where in the Constitution or Bill of rights where it is stated we all have to pay for it!

Well, with the GOP determined to cancel Title X programs, many poor women won't have access. It's far cheaper to pay for contraception than babies. It also reduces the need for abortions.

Are we sure Mutterperl is a male? Has anyone else checked? You never know these days. AND even if he has the XY chromosome perhaps he needs to be gender reassigned for Sandra. Then she could save all those thousands of dollars on those near free birth control pills she desperately needs.

This is SO what is wrong with this country. Millions of people believe this kind of hate is OK. Gays, blacks, pot smokers, baby killers...this way of thinking is so offensive.

She never said she needed free birth control by the way. What she said is that birth control is part of health care. That debate has been settled. If a guy wants a vasectomy, it's covered. Birth control pills are prescription drugs. Covered under health insurance.

We had a religious organization that is also a huge employer in this country. They want to say that since they believe taking birth control is morally wrong, they should be allowed to not provide this type of health care. While I respect your opinion to believe what you want, you do NOT have the right to impose your ridiculous crap on the health care system of this country.

You bigoted self hating people are really bothersome.

Some of you guys are embarrassing yourselves with this behaviour. Also the comments that Huffpo is a liberal's only club are wrong. I am very conservative and Ive been here for 4 years. Ive picked up close to 400 fans that are mostly blue, If you cant offer intelligent criticism or debate go somewhere else. Attacking this woman for speaking out for what she thinks is right is wrong,and I do not like her politics either but I also hope the best for her and her future. After-all that is the American way...right?

You're absolutely correct, but we're living in times when people put ideology before country. Sad, isn't it? I've always said a bit of common courtesy could go a long way.

So wise and courteous! I associate myself as liberal, but even as such, I can appreciate anyone who has the decency to respect others' opinions, conservative or liberal. Props to you, and to the American way. It's important to remember that..

"OF STILL WATERS AND BABBLING BROOKS"

Our economy is drowing down the deep hole, 22 million real unemployment, many could not find jobs;

When we are in debt to our yang yang, down graded credit rating, 8 million lost their homes, subjects to China's whims;

When 40% are functional illiterates, 60% HS drop outs, 3 in 4 youth will go to prison, 70% will become career criminals;

When children are starving, with no safe homes . . .

THAT WE SHOULD BE SO WORRIED ABOUT FLUKES BIRTH CONTROL ?

Fluke and her wealthy boyfriend demand tax payers to shore up for their contraception A TOP PRIORITY ?

They are rich and "educated", his with parents political contributions to the Democratic Party into the millions - and he can't afford Flukes contraception ? THEIR CARNAL DESIRES A PRIORITY ABOVE ALL ?

What about giving priorities to starving children, OUR SOLDIERS WHOSE LIVES ARE IN PERIL on 3-4th deployments ?

EASY TO UNDERSTAND what FLUKE stands for, what she represents, and what her real motivations are. She is an opportunist in an election year with a President that has poor record to defend. Foremost, a manipulator of emotions. I DO NOT SHARE FLUKES VALUE.

We, Americans, are so perceptive, able to discern motivations. We are so much better than the Flukes of this world. She makes noise to distract us from the real important issues.

I WILL NOT BE DISTRACTED.

"Still waters run deep, but babbling brooks makes distracting noise".

How about finding out what Sandra Fluke's testimony was all about? I'll give you a hint - it had nothing to do with taxpayers subsidizing her sex life. Look it up on Youtube.

This woman has a life and a bright future in her career as a lawyer and a crusader for women's issues. I don't believe we have heard the last from Sandra Fluke, and I for one, look forward to seeing more from her as a strong woman who people like "Radicalgal, spud3, pico pandora" and on down the list of "immature hateful" commentors who has had their feathers ruffled by her and for what? Having sex? Having a boyfriend who comes from money? Who appears to be a Democrat? Who has a voice? I hope she has lots of babies and is having great sex while praticing! You Go Girl!!
