Book Number 4 isn't a dating book. It's a book about abstinence for teenage girls.

JWOWWS book has only a few words in it. Get drunk and give it up to as many men and or women as possible. Repeat night after night.

I actually had to read Hooking Up in a college sociology course. We spent several weeks analyzing it. pretty boring stuff everyone who is alive already knows.

I dunno why all you guys are bitching about spending money on women... it's the ONLY reason I work. If there were no women to give me motivation I'd probably be living in a cardboard box by the freeway.

There is something special about a women that knows how to spend her boyfriends money. It makes weeding out the shallow and gold digging women that much more easier.

LOL, it sounds like an expensive weeding out process. If I were a multi-millionaire, I'd get myself a copy of that "dating for under a dollar" book and see who sticks around.

Dating for under a dollar... When my wife and I were young, we used to go for long walks on the beach. The tolls and fees to get to the beach were 0.85 cents. I used to joke that it was our 85 cent date. We ended up getting married on that beach. My point is, the best things in life can often be free, or at least under $1.

The best things in life are never free, but are purchased with coin other than money.

If the amount of money you spend or dont spend is the salient memory, rather than what you shared, there isnt much relationship there to be had.

I envy you a woman such as your wife and it is a shame she is such a rare gem among the distaff half of the species.

Have a great day!

I agree. My exhusband and I had many of those dates and they are among the very sweet memories I have of him. Neither of had any money so it was fine. What I think a lot of women object to is the guy who is a total miser.

While these are odd, I do remember, a long time ago, my first boyfriend after I moved to NYC took me on a date that centered around a round trip ride on the Staten Island Ferry. We were both really poor and it was actually very sweet and romantic. So, with enough charm, you just might be able to pull off that $1 date...

My high school girl friend suggested the Staten Island Ferry ride roundtrip as part of our post prom- it was great.... and very romantic as the sun came up.... and cost just a nickle back in 1969! It's not the money you spend, but the love, thought, creativity, and appropriateness for the occasion. And a guy who is responsible with money is definitely worth a more thorough look, as if the woman who is thus impressed.

From our apartment in the East Village, one day we decided to see how far from home we could get on the cheap. Subway to Battery Park, $1.50, Staten Island Ferry, 25 cents, free transfer onto bus to the southern most tip of the Island and caught the sun-set. Wow! One of the best, most romantic and least expensive dates ever.
