Lee Hee-Ah, Disabled Korean Girl Who Has Just Four Fingers, Impresses On The Piano

Born with only four fingers and no legs below the knee, 26-year-old Lee Hee-Ah is an inspiration to all who know her. Although she began playing the piano at age 7 for therapeutical purposes, she has now become a concert pianist! Disfigured since birth, her mother cared for her as if she were perfect and today, she eats, walks and uses the adjusted piano pedals on her own. "You play with your heart and head -- not your fingers," Hee-ah says.

This girl has no disability...she is quite able and beautiful. I cannot do what she does, but I have all of my fingers, and legs long enough to reach pedals. I do have severe deformities in my hands though not born this way. Psoriatic arthritis has laid claim to my joints and eaten them away to the point that I am a full 3 inches shorter than my tallest (5'1...now 4'10") height and my limbs are much shorter as well. I only wish in my 46 years that I had had the courage to take what others consider a disability and accept the challenge of turning it into something beautiful like Hee-ah has done. And yet...there is time while I yet breathe

This is one of the most remarkable stories I have seen on HP and yet it is not even kept up for 12 hours. I don't get it. HP keeps celebrity junk articles up for days on end but something like this they take down before many have even seen it. Disappointing.

What an AMAZING, synergy between Mom and Daughter.....with INCREDIBLE results!

They inspire the rest of us to "try harder" and not give up on being the best that we can be!

God BLESS them. I think I have a couple of NEW heroes in my life! WOW!

When a gift of giving something as beautiful as Lee's music is in you, nothing can hold you back. And having the worlds greatest mother is certainly an asset. What a wonderful story for HuffPost to share with us.

I'm in awe of both mother and daughter. I need to do some thinking about all the excuses I've made for the things I haven't done!

There's few limits to those that refuse to see them. She should be in an inspiration to anyone who afraid to go forward based on what others tell them.

People like this young woman put us all to shame. I wish they could bottle it so that we could all drink it every morning before we face the world. Then maybe we wouldn't turn the world into such a destructive mess.

What an awesome girl/woman. I think if we gave her some lemons, she would make some great lemonade. Great story.
