Royal Wedding Anniversary: Will & Kate Reportedly Spend Their 'Very Special' Day Privately (PHOTOS)

Will & Kate Spend The Day 'Relaxing'

With all the buildup to the royal wedding anniversary, we were half-expecting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to throw a huge fete worthy of their elaborate nuptials and party the night away with friends and family.

But how did Will & Kate actually spend their big day on Sunday?

Reportedly, the couple kept things simple and had a relaxing and private day at their remote farmhouse in North Wales. The Daily Mail claims Kate has been planning for weeks to cook a "romantic dinner" for the occasion, featuring a main dish of fish en papillote (in parchment) to celebrate their "paper" anniversary.

The couple attended the wedding of their friends Hannah Gillingham and Robert Carter at St. Andrews Church on Saturday, where Kate repeated the lace Erdem dress she wore on the royal tour of Canada; Pippa donned a super cute butterfly fascinator from Madeleine Millinery.

The next day, Will and Kate retired to their cottage for their cozy day in, as a royal aide told Us Weekly: "They've been looking forward to a very special day at home."

We hope Will and Kate got a nice day of rest in, because with the Diamond Jubilee in full swing and the upcoming London Olympics, they're in for a busy summer.

But for now, check out some photos below of Will and Kate spending their first newlywed year out and about.
