'Golden-Voiced' Ted Williams Surprises 'Today' Co-Hosts (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'Today' Co-Hosts Get Surprise Visitor

The co-hosts of "Today" got a surprise visitor on Monday morning when Ted Williams dropped by outside the plaza.

Matt Lauer, Ann Curry, Natalie Morales and Al Roker were doing their usual thing when Lauer drew their attention to a "bizarre thing." He motioned past the crowds lined around the plaza, and cameras zoomed in to show Williams by a barricade.

"I love the 'Today' show," Williams shouted, waving before getting on his way.

"He did a flyby on us," Matt joked. "That was cool."

Williams was homeless until a Youtube video featuring his "golden" voice went viral and propelled him to national fame last year. Since then, he has done voiceover work for MSNBC, and even introduced the "Today" show.
