The Wanted Interview: Band Shares Advice With Their High School Selves

The Wanted's High School Survival Guide

Legions of screaming American fans are glad they finally came stateside. If you haven't heard of The Wanted -- the British-Irish boy band who have quietly skyrocketed to international fame this year -- you've probably heard their catchy dance-pop tune "Glad You Came," which recently peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. And their latest single, "Chasing the Sun," an ode to long nights of reckless fun, could be this summer's hottest party anthem. Between a recent performance on The Voice and potential collaborations with the likes of Chris Brown and Justin Bieber, the group shows no signs of slowing down.

But before they were topping the musical charts and making vampire-inspired music videos, these five guys were just your typical music-obsessed teenagers. Our friends over at AOL Music caught up with The Wanted in New York and asked them what advice they would give to their teen selves -- and to their young fans. Check out the slideshow below to find out what each of the guys wishes they knew back in high school.
