Weight Loss Success: Iris Osorio Faced A Health Scare And Lost 140 Pounds

Before Weight: 283 pounds

How I Gained It: I am a stay-at-home mother of three. I was a type-2 diabetic and my blood sugar would get as high as 800. I didn't care, because I loved to eat! I ate all day and sat around watching TV. I never said no to any food. I ate almost 6,000 calories a day. I ate late at night, right before bed, every day of my life.

Breaking Point: My last hospital visit was the worst. I lost my vision and it scared me. I asked God, "Please, I promise I will change if you give me back my sight." When my sugars came back down to normal, I did.

How I Lost It: I joined MMAXOUT gym. Working with my trainer, Hamilton Vidal Newton, changed my life! People would always look at me when I walked in because I was so big and think I couldn't do it. Well, I showed them! I didn't give up and made it through the whole hour. I was so proud of myself and had the biggest smile on my face. I am now certified in kickboxing and teach classes. I love kickboxing and step classes. I have a lot of drive -- if I want something, I work hard to get it!

I used a low-carb diet and it worked. If I do have a cheat meal, I do it only once every six months. Now, I have been eating so well for so long that unhealthy food makes me sick.

I am no longer on my meds and have never been healthier! I eat, sleep and breathe fitness. I dream of new workouts I can teach my class. I want to help people not get to where I was. I felt like I was in jail in my own body, but I broke free. Yes, it is hard work, but at the end of the road there is a new you waiting. I am so proud of myself for what I have done! I am a brand-new person, and I would not trade it in for the world!

I know this woman personally and shes amazing! For the record this isnt called La Ink or Maimi Ink so lets get that out the way! No one ever wishes to be heavy its poor habits built as a child and sometimes its genetics! The great thing is you dont have to be heavy sometimes you have to work harder then most who dont have these problems! Iris has worked hard and will continue to work hard to be the best that she can be! Its dedication and motivation and its not a diet its a change of lifestyle! She had to dig deep in herself to makes new choices to better her life! This isnt fake its as a real as a court case! So stop being judgemental and most of the time people are just envious of the challenges they themselves are to weak to face! Iris Osorio you are amazing and beautiful and only you know the truth of your story as well as the people who know and love you! I love you Girl!

Seriously people. If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. Iris is an amazing person, inside and out. She shared her story to help inspire people that think they are past the point of no return. Even if she inspires only one person (which is totally not the case, she inspires MANY!), it's worth it. She has dedicated her time and energy into making herself and others better. If anyone can explain to me what her tattoos have to do with any part of the article, please do. Just because you may not like tattoos, doesn't mean no one in the world should have them. Some people put art on their walls, others wear it. I challenge each and every one of you to come to Mmaxout and take a class. Most of you won't. You're to busy sitting on the computer trashing other people's hard work. Some people are so ignorant!! Instead of the negative remarks, lets look at all the hard work and lives she has touched. I know her too, and she saved my life!! nobody wakes up and wants to be fat, just like who wants to be a drunk, a drug addict or have any other addiction. give a person the credit that no matter where they are in their lives, they make the right decision to make their lives better. and for all you skinny people who have nothing better to do then post negative comments, GET A LIFE!!!! All that should matter is she took her health seriously, and deicided to make it better. so stop with the why she let it get to that point. REALLY!
