Rebecca Taylor Reissues Kate Middleton Suit Due To Popular Demand (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: It's Back....

Ah, the Kate effect. After the Duchess of Cambridge donned coral jeans, scores of pairs flew off the shelves. Her Reiss and Issa frocks sell out in mere hours.

Last week, the Duchess Effect has claimed another victim. Middleton donned a blue tweed suit from Rebecca Taylor's resort 2011/2012 collection to a charity event. The jacket (which had already been marked down for clearance) sold out online in just 30 minutes.

But luckily for those who are eager to snap up a piece of Duchess-sanctioned attire, Taylor's a smart businesswoman: she's reissued a version of the blue suit (as well as a dress version) to sate the sartorial appetites of Kate fans.

The new Rebecca Taylor suit is already available for pre-order on the designer's website, with the jacket costing $450. (The original retail price, we note; it's not on sale anymore.) A matching skirt is going for $265, and Taylor is also making a shift dress version of the design for $425.

Many people have debated whether Kate Middleton is really a style icon -- including, uh, us -- but regardless, designers like Taylor are still keen on the Duchess wearing their looks. "[Dressing Kate is] something I have always wanted to do ever since she got engaged to William," Taylor told NBC New York. "She always looks polished, chic, and feminine."

The Duchess just celebrated her one-year royal wedding anniversary with William on Sunday -- consider the new suit her gift to the fashion world.
