The Shops At Target Kicks Off With Strangely Random Red Carpet (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: The Shops At Target Kicks Off With Underwhelming Red Carpet

If there's been an inexplicable feeling of emptiness in your life recently, we think we know why: there hasn't been a Target collaboration in over a month!

Luckily, Target is following the success of Jason Wu for Target with their latest fashion-forward venture: The Shops at Target. The concept, which sets up five local boutiques with mini in-store "shops," had its big celebrity kickoff on Tuesday night with famous faces walking the red carpet in the sort of casual-chic Target's known for.

Everyone seemed happy to be there, but we're a bit confused by the seemingly random group of celebs who showed up -- January Jones and Constance Zimmer? Emma Roberts and Giada De Laurentiis? And what's Leelee Sobieski doing there?

Despite the lackluster event, we're still pumped up about The Shops at Target, particularly the in-store boutique for Miami's famed The Webster. The Shops at Target launches on May 6 -- will you stop by and shop?
