It may not be "the greatest song in the world," but the video for the titular track on Tenacious D's comeback album, "Rize of the Fenix," is pretty spectacular.
Last month, the D had an Internet hit with the first promo video for the new album, called "To Be the Best," wherein Jack Black and Kyle Gass reunited, overcame their differences, and even killed Val Kilmer in the process. But they just released the first proper music video for "Rize of the Fenix," and it's a special effects-heavy, explosion-filled extravaganza that sees JB and KG battle the critics who blasted their flop "Pick of Destiny," who happen to have demon bodies.
Plus, Jack's guitar has a saber for a neck, and it's pretty sweet.
"Rize of the Fenix," the band's first album in several years, is available May 15. However, you can already stream the entire thing on RizeoftheFenix.com.
