Target's latest collaboration isn't with some big name designer, but with five small businesses from across the country. The Shops at Target will debut in stores this weekend, starting May 6.

Customers will get to shop for clothing, housewares, luxury body care products and even sweet treats for themselves and their pets from Miami-based The Webster, Connecticut-based Privet House, Aspen, Colo.-based Cos Bar, Boston-based Polka Dog Bakery and San Francisco-based The Candy Store. Product prices range from $1 to $159.99, with nearly 400 products available in-store and online.

The available collections were co-created by the boutiques and Target, capturing each shop's unique aesthetic and personality. "We just returned from the launch party, and it was so great to see all of the products in its totality," said Deb Gregg, co-owner of Polka Dog Bakery. "There has been a huge buzz around this. We've heard from people all over the country that are excited to shop our products, so it's really crazy to think about the magnitude of this."

According to the release, this is the first round of a planned collaboration with boutique businesses that will continue beyond 2012.
