Baron Davis Injury: Knicks Guard Hurts Knee Against Heat (VIDEO)

Baron Davis Carted Off After Gruesome Injury

The New York Knicks suffered another injury in Game 4 against the Heat on Sunday when point guard Baron Davis went down with a brutal knee injury.

Driving down the court on a fast break midway through the third quarter, Davis planted his right leg hard onto the hardwood and his right knee buckled. Davis immediately fell to the floor, grabbed his knee and began writhing in pain.

The 33-year-old had to be carried to the locker room on a stretcher. LeBron James and several other Heat players on the bench appeared to be in shock when they looked at the knee after Davis fell to the ground. Before Davis was stretched off the court, James went over to him and appeared to say some words of encouragement.

New York fans began chanting Davis' name, and the 12-year veteran saluted them by putting his fist in the air.

It was second injury the Knicks have suffered in their first-round series. Guard Iman Shumpert went down with a torn ACL in Game 1 and will be out for six to eight months.
